Horrible

Not that I expected much, but I disliked this game. The screamers were semi-quiet and provided little shock value. The books were badly written. "One thing I wonder is if there is a cure for this desease" is a portion of one of the pair.

The wall textures are ugly rather than grunged, leaving the rooms feeling 2d. Along with this, the "plot" sceen was unskippable and badly drawn. Same with the text at the start.

Things I'd like to see:

-3d anything (2d was nice in 2004, the genera has advanced since)
-Some lighting effects, not big ones.
-Decent spelling
-Better syntax
-Skippable screens
-Mute button

Things that were done well:
-The mouse switches in the game and remains correct if clicking is done outside the game
-Stuck with tradition for the most part (Not nessicarily good, but indefinately not bad.)

It felt original, the graphics were retro but good, and I really enjoyed it.

The sound should change when less of them are firing at you though.

Hrmm..

I really enjoyed the graphics in this game, crazy stuff. It was pretty challenging, and wasted at least two hours of my time yesterday. I have no complaints, the backgrounds were excelent, the sounds suitable and the combos well animated. Wonderful.

It seems like it got much easier from last time I played, I beat it no problem.

Good Game, Shit Camera

The game was VERY pretty, but that doesn't mean you should zoom in on fucking everything. The camera was so all over the place I couldn't even tell what was going on. Really a game breaker.

The game lacked a few key components. For instance, punctuation. The letters are full of bad writing and run on sentences. One, for example, finishes with "They're all around us, Mother of-"
This is just terrible. In the instance of writing a letter back home, you would not be in a combat situation. If you were and you were writing, you would be shot. Second off, there were implied relationships between the different characters, and no cinematics. No descriptions were given of the tasks at hand.
Things to add
-Better letters
-Cinematics
-Mute button
-Music selection (Aerosmith FTW)
-Unstandardization (More types of powerups, more enemies, assorted bosses)
-More bosses. Alot more. With more health and more attacks
-Steampunk that bitch out =D
-Involve different upgrades for the ships, and downgrades for enemies, all that good stuff
On the other hand, Kudos on the final boss. I enjoyed the cargo crate based attack instead of the standard lazorz. Id have both arms go at once, but then agian, i didnt make the game, so..
Overall, not bad, one of the better submissions in the portal.
Id like to see more games from you.

Well

Its a pretty great game, but i do have some complaints. But first, the good stuff. Your runcycle is pretty close to perfect, in the cartoon-sense, the backdrops were pretty great, had a ton of detail. The music fit perfectly, and the character was pretty well drawn. But on the flip side, the food needed alot more detail, most distictly the cheese. Its about what ive seen in every other run/dodge game ive played, great character, good background, not great obsticles. You probobly should have added a few lives, maybe a powerup or two, and a change of scenery after every level, somthing along those lines
